Manufacturing prefabricated timber frames for residential houses and unit developments using equipment such as nail guns, circular saws, drop saws, nog masters and other construction tools.

Assisted with computer diagnostics, basic repairs, organisation of equipment, cleaning duties and small amounts of customer money handling during a one-week work experience placement.

I'm mostly interested in working with enterprise hardware and programming is something I learned to put the hardware to use. Because this is a hobby I have had since I was a teenager, most of my hardware is old or used other than its intended purpose, for example I'm using Cisco WAN optimizers as servers. These aren't meant to be used this way and have many challenges. Long story short, I can handle difficult hardware.

One of these Cisco WAN optimizers is a proxmox node that runs a minecraft server, webmin and a load balancer. I also have a minicomputer as another node that just runs webmin and a load balancer longer term for light tasks usage. I hope to add more nodes soon for redundancy and proper load balancing.

Recently I broke into 10 gigabit networking over short direct runs and over fiber using dell switches and sfp+ pcie cards.recently iv broken into 10 gigabit networking over short direct runs and over fiber using dell switches and sfp+ pcie cards.

Other devices iv played around with include unifi networking with AP's and routers, simple IP Phones, POE security cameras, Automatic transfer switches and home automation with homeassistant.

I'v had lots of experience with building electronic projects too, most recently a home made waist mounted wireless keyboard to use the computer at work so i dont have to stop working to use the pc and being able to use it from a distance to improve efficiency.
Some projects are smaller like air quality sensors, home made game consoles and remote control switches.
